Photography has always been at the center of Big Grin, but the behind-the-scenes creative work doesn't stop at the camera.Â
Over the years, I've designed brand identities, client-facing materials, and internal training documents for businesses that needed more than just a logo. They needed a cohesive visual language people could actually use. This page shows a sample of that work: how I think through a visual problem and make information understandable to the person on the other end while keeping it aesthetically pleasing.

Technical & Instructional Design
This is the work I'm proudest of because it brings design and teaching together. Good documentation needs to be accurate, and someone encountering the material for the first time needs to be able to understand it. These pieces were designed to make technical or detailed information accessible, easy to look at, and easy to reference under real working conditions.
MARKETING & CLIENT-FACING
Designing for a consumer audience has to catch their attention, build trust, and look polished in seconds. These pieces were built for external audiences (aka customers and clients), the people deciding whether or not to trust a business they're just meeting for the first time.
BRAND & IDENTITY
Before any individual piece gets designed, I like to start with the bigger question: what should this brand feel like, and how does that feeling stay consistent across everything it touches? These projects are a reflection of how I've made consistent visual identity systems that hold up across multiple formats and consumer touchpoints.
